The company was founded in 1991 in Dresden, Germany by a group of engineers with a strong personal background of equipment design and technologies with aim to develop and sell new concepts and solutions for multiple applications of thin films in the industry and R&D.

 

The company had a fast and successful development and established itself on the world wide market.

All this enabled FHR to move by January 1, 2000 into the actual and modern facilities offering more than 30.000 square feet of office and production space in an excellent logistical environment in Ottendorf-Okrilla near to Dresden, Saxony the most dynamical and advanced high tech area of Europe.

Effective since January 1, 2008 FHR-Anlagenbau GmbH belongs to the centrotherm photovoltaics group. centrotherm photovoltaics AG is a leading international provider of technology and services for the production of solar cells and solar silicon.
